Blondie the famous pride male who made his home on photographic concessions outside Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe has been lured, and killed in a Trophy Hunt.


Blondie was under the age of six.


Blondie Leaves Behind Vulnerable Cubs

The beloved Lion King leaves behind very young cubs, who are less than two months old and another set of cubs around twelve months old.


The young cubs are hiding in the veldt.

Wildcru had collared Blondie only eighteen months ago.


Lured Out of Protected Concessions

The hunters baited Blondie intentionally despite his collar and Blondie was lured out of the safe area of the photographic concessions outside Hwange National Park, where he was killed.


Hunt Linked to Victoria Falls Safari Services

The hunt was allegedly led by Mike Blignaut who is listed as a co-owner at Victoria Falls Safari Services.

Sean Scott is the co-owner and is based in the USA according to their website.


A Beloved Lion and Fierce Protector

Blondie was a fearless protector of his pride and cubs and was famous for his resonating roar.
