Olifants River Roars through Kruger National Park

Storms Transform the Mighty River into a Thundering Spectacle

ree

The mighty Olifants River thunders down through Kruger National Park after the storms.

From Source to Sea

The Olifants River, or Lepelle, has a long journey to this spot beginning near Bethal, Mpumalanga.

It flows north towards Limpopo Province through Witbank and Loskop Dams, then east across the Lowveld to join the Letaba River.

It crosses into Mozambique through the Lebombo Mountains and becomes the Rio dos Elefantes, joining the Limpopo River — the second largest African River that flows into the Indian Ocean.

It enters the Indian Ocean north of Maputo!

A Mesmerising Sight

This stormy weather is mesmerising and fearsome.

One of many videos we shot.

Truly a spectacular sight.💚
